Museum Exhibit Posters: Canadian Fire Fighters Museum
Brief: The Canadian Fire Fighters Museum needed internal signage and sub-branding for a new exhibition. The project required five distinct illustrations to visually represent categories covering the history, science, and culture of firefighting, while integrating the museum's new brand palette.
Idea: I designed five cohesive exhibit posters, with each illustration acting as the visual anchor for a specific category (e.g., Tools of the Trade). The artwork was intentionally rendered to simulate the subtle texture of charcoal, adding a layer of authenticity and detail. The color palette and design were precisely tailored to the new brand guidelines to create clear, visually engaging wayfinding for visitors.
Results: The final posters successfully established a cohesive internal sub-branding system. The five distinct, engaging visual markers, featuring an authentic charcoal aesthetic, enhanced the educational experience and effectively guided visitors through the museum's comprehensive exhibition on Canadian firefighting.
