Working as a Projection & Animation Artist for the stage musical production of Roald Dahl's Matilda was an incredible experience. Collaborating closely with the Director on this highly creative project was a massive endeavour, but the end result was truly satisfying. The overall performance and production were exceptional, and I felt privileged to be a part of it. This collection of selected excerpts from the Acrobat Stories throughout the production showcases the rough sketch charcoal drawing style that was chosen to portray the intelligent and exuberant little girl’s vivid imagination, and style-wise deliberately contrasts the rest of the production backgrounds, which were in full colour and painterly.
